What is this archive?
This is a collection of students’ essays Sam has corrected with The IELTS Teacher. Each essay is between a band 6 and a band 8.5. Because these essays were written by a student of The IELTS Teacher, they mostly follow the same kind of structure as taught by Matt in his Udemy video courses. Each document in the archive contains :
· The original essay by the student.
· Sam’s correction of the essay, including corrections of errors, suggestions for better language, explanations for the changes made, band scores and overall comments.
· The final version of the essay after all the corrections and suggestions.
The final version of the essay also includes band scoring and more comments to explain what is needed to raise the band even further! Impressive vocabulary has been highlighted as well. Furthermore, in most cases, the final essay is at least one band score higher than the original one. This means that with every band 6 essay you have, you will also have a band 7 version as well as explanations of how to reach this band and improve further!
How can this archive help me?
With each package of essays, you will be able to :
· Read band 6 to band 9 essays on a variety of topics and in response to all kinds of IELTS Task 2 questions.
· Learn new vocabulary on a variety of topics, both common and less common.
· See and learn from mistakes other students have made.
· Understand why each essay received the band score it did and what is needed for it to get a higher band, as well as seeing it done in practice!
